Richard Wagner was born in Leipzig, at No. 3, the Brühl (The House of the Red and White Lions), in the Jewish quarter. He was however an ethnic German, the ninth child of Carl Friedrich Wagner, who was a clerk in the Leipzig police service, and his wife, Johanna Rosine (née Paetz), the daughter of a baker.   If it weren’t enough that Wagner was a vicious anti-Semite, he was also guilty of a lot else. He was clearly a megalomaniac – a corollary of his narcissism. Milton E. Brener, a lawyer, writes in “Richard Wagner and the Jews” () that Wagner judged people by their willingness or talent “to help in a great cause, namely, his own.”.

I have found myself, once again, reading Anne Dzamba Sessa's excellent, book "Richard Wagner And The English". This is a book that charts the influence of Wagner, on the intellectual, artistic and social life of Victorian England, and in part beyond. It's a fascinating read, both well written and researched. It's not perfect, but it gets close. Wilhelm Richard Wagner (Leipzig, – Venice, Febru ) was an influential German composer, conductor, music theorist, and essayist, primarily known for his operas (or "music dramas" as he later came to call them).. Wagner's compositions, particularly those of his later period, are notable for their contrapuntal texture, rich chromaticism, harmonies and Birth name: Wilhelm Richard Wagner.

There is still some controversy as to whether or not Geyer, a traveling actor, was. One of the best things that Wagner ever did was to die.

I would just like to preface my answer with a recommendation to those asking the question, “What is the best ” Since answers are going to be subjective, I recommend asking, “Which (book, music, artist, movie, etc.) do you recommend, and why?” I wo.Therefore Wagner didn't explicitly say expulsion would be an evil thing, and so it follows, Rose concluded, that Wagner must have really secretly supported it.

That's an interestingly athletic series of logical leaps, not based on what Wagner said but on things that he didn't say. Rose's book is full of that sort of thing.
